the power of prayer.

ah, miracles. and from rob's neck of the woods, no less:

The mother of an 11-year-old girl who died of untreated diabetes said Wednesday that she did not know her daughter was terminally ill as she prayed for her to get better.

Madeline Neumann died Sunday from an undiagnosed and treatable form of diabetes.

Her mother, Leilani Neumann, told The Associated Press she never expected her daughter, whom she called Kara, to die. The family believes in the Bible, and it says healing comes from God, but they are not crazy, religious people, and they have nothing against doctors, she said.

The girl's father, Dale Neumann, a former police officer, said he has friends who are doctors. He started CPR "as soon as the breath of life left" his daughter's body, he said.

my step-dad is the campaign manager for a congressional candidate in north carolina named marshall adame. i've hung out with this man and he is the real deal. here is some video of a speech he gave at the democratic headquarters in raleigh.

Barry was seriously wounded -- but the soul still burns

i spent the last couple days in the c-bus trying to get out the vote for Obama. while we seem to have succeeded in franklin county, hill dawg triumphed throughout most of the state, surprising nobody.

what was surprising was this: registered democrats in Butler County more than doubled, and democrats now outnumber republicans there.

no se, amigos. that don't make no sense.
