oakland: still adorable

oakland, california! at least we've got great weather.

i was at an A's game last night -- total attendance was around 8,000 and my field-level ticket was $10. between the shootings-in-the-back, the riots, the (other) murders we've got a lot on our plate. and it seems the good folks at city hall do too. in fact, they're in dire need of a Recreation Leader II. Just check out the City of Oakland Employment Opportunities page, where you will find the City of Oakland Human Resources mission: "to be regarded as the model for integrating state-of-the-art human resource services in the public sector," followed by this job posting:
