"Employees met with supervisors and human resources personnel before leaving. At coffee bar areas on each floor, the company provided boxes and plastic bags for employees to pack their personal belongings."

This doesn't surprise me, but it's also the reason i believe in unions.

At my last job, I did a lot of work on a class action against RadioShack, and because of that spent a lot of time at the website, www.RadioShackSucks.com, which is mostly just a sounding board for old and present employees looking to vent.

Certainly a lot of horror stories, and I'm not surprised at all by this bullshit. The execs at RadioShack (I saw some of their depositions) are some of the sleaziest bastards I've ever heard of.

you know, I would much rather just know if I am laid off or not then wait through a week of face to face meetings. Our firm went through that alittle over a year ago. those face to face meetings take at least 30 min to an hour and its shitty to watch people go out one at a time and come back. I would rather the email. The worst thing is the wait, its not the way you are told you are fired.

Although I don't agree with the pack your shit up right now and leave part. Thats crap.
