Scientology "Tech" Being Used in School in Baton Rouge

Check this out.

I wonder how legal this is. I'm hoping Sean can shed some light on the subject. It seems like a pretty grey area to me because Scientology doesn't teach 'theology' the way Judaism or Christianity does. Most if not all of L. Ron's 'teachings' are copyrighted as part of the Church. If you know anything about Scientology you know that it doesn't necessarily teach about 'god' or 'xenu' or whatever (unles you are willing to pay the thousands of dollars for auditing sessions). They like to call it a 'philosophy' for living your life...Seems like a slippery slope to me...

the only real problem for the scientologists is that they chose to congregate religion because they realized they could become a tax shelter - and you can't be a religion and not be a religion at the same time.

if they're affiliated with the people pushing these things (on which, knowing this crowd, i would bet my crotch) it would seem to me they are donglords.

on the other hand: hey, test scores are up!

also, this: it's good to be back on the blog scene after a lengthy sabbatical to schoolville.

that's the slippery slope. their 'tech' is in fact a copyrighted part of their scriptures.

so much of the 'study tech' contains scientology jargon that pushing these programs in schools makes it easier to influence these kids to join their church.
