Its beginning to look a lot like baseball...

The Cincinnati Reds and RHP Aaron Harang have agreed to terms on a 4-year contract through the 2010 season with a club option for 2011.
Harang led the National League in strikeouts (216) and complete games (6) last year.

Thoughts?

Ah yes, here it is, the yearly pre-season hype about the reds from a diehard fan.

In terms of bullshit, it only pales in comparison to the point of the season when the reds are sitting at .500(and before they have lost 15 games in a row) and the jackbloggers are talking wild card.

My advice to you is the same thing I told pitiful mets before last year. Just win something. A title, pennant, division, playoff spot, anything. And then you can talk. Until then, Reds=dogpoo.

Chris Sabo is my own personal ballwasher, the poor four-eyed bitch.

Since 1960, 8 pitchers have led the National League in strikeouts AND wins in a single season. They are: Randy Johnson, John Smoltz, Dwight Gooden, Steve Carlton (2x), Tom Seaver, Sandy Koufax (3x...Sarge, I think maybe you've heard of him?), Don Drysdale and...Aaron m/f Harang.

And we haven't even mentioned Arroyo.

But the Dodgers DO have both Elmer Dessens AND Brett Tomko locked up, so everyone else is probably fucked.

Go schlob Schmidt's knob while you can Sarge, because there ain't much gas left in that arm. Oh, and have fun with Juan Pierre. That oughta be good.

Reds in 07!

Just resigned Arroyo, too... If only our middle relievers would grow the fuck up and start playing like men...
