Maybe it's not all bad.

It has finally been made clear to me why the World Baseball Classic is so imperative.

It has turned Fidel Castro into the sports-blogger we've all been waiting for.

From making reference to the "dangerous and emblematic Ichiro," to declaring his desire that "[Cuba's] victory in the Classic to be achieved at the expense of [Japan]; a team that has tremendous technical expertise," I think we can all agree that the the WBC has finally found its voice for a new age.

Special thanks to Tom Verducci for the drop on this magnificent development.
